No fighting, No biting, No Scratching, No Slapping, No Crying If You Lose. This is Throwdown!

Twas a sad day (last Thursday) that marked the last ever Bonnie and Clyde breaking battle at Throwdown!

Throwdown! – the UK’s longest running monthly dance competitions and club night for Hip Hop dance – is coming to an end. This year marks its 10th year anniversary and Charlie Blue, Throwdown!’s host and organiser, is moving on to other projects.

Bonnie and Clyde breaking battles pay homage (in title alone) to the infamous American bank-robbing duet of the 1930’s great depression. The battle is a two vs. two format and the competing pairs are made up of a b-boy and a b-girl.

The bells are beginning to toll for Throwdown! Fear not there are 9 more events to go before we say our final goodbyes to this staple of the UK Hip Hop dance scene. For Bonnie and Clyde the bells are just an echo. The policemen’s guns were swift and true. Claimed by B-boy Mouse and B-girl Roxy the Throwdown! Bonnie and Clyde title has been laid to rest for the very last time.

Throwdown! will take place as usual on the 2nd Thursday of every month at Plan B in Brixton and then that is it folks.

Check out our B-Boy Events calendar for all the upcoming events on the UK scene.

9 more and counting… Throwdown! We salute you.
